Answering the Call
After reading an article titled, "Food Program Needs Your Help," in the August 17th edition of the The Daily Home, Mrs. Carroll's Builder's Club decided to jump into action. (To view the article in its entirety, click here.) They decided to begin a donation drive by asking Ellis students to bring canned food items to school. We are hoping that ALL students will participate! Donations will be collected during 1st period. As Helen Keller once stated, "Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much."
Coca-Cola Sale
Our annual Coke sale will be August 22-September 2. A variety of coke products are available. Order forms will be sent home with students and extra forms may be picked up at the front office. This is our only school-wide fundraiser for the year, so please help!

Congratulations, Ms. Morris!
Ms. Morris, Special Education teacher, recently applied for and received a $179 grant from The Arc of North Talladega County. She plans to purchase reading and math materials to enhance the functional academic skills of the students enrolled in her class. The grant was titled, "The Arc Grants for Special Education." We are very proud of Ms. Morris, Ms. Truss, and their students for their hard work and positive attitudes.
