Mon., Sept. 23: Classy Day and Fall Pictures (Clothing should be appropriate for school.)

New Website for Zora Ellis

Zora Ellis has a new website! Check it out at http://sites.google.com/site/zoraellisjrhigh/home. Please keep in mind that it is a working progress, so not all content has been added at this time.

Progress Reports go home on Monday, Sept. 16th.

Semester Finals

Students will be informed by their teachers whether or not they are exempt from semester tests. Attendance will not be held against exempt students starting May 21st.

Exam schedule:

• Tuesday, May 21st-- 1st, 3rd, and 5th period tests

• Wednesday, May 22nd-- 2nd, 4th, and 6th period tests      

• Thursday, May 23rd-- Make-up tests for students who have an excused absence for May 21st or May 22nd

My name is Justavian W. I have an older brother and two older sisters. My goal is to attend Tuskegee University to become a computer teacher. My favorite thing to do is to learn more about computers. I like to hang out with my friends on  the weekends. My favorite subjects are math and science.

April Student of the Month

My name is Madison S. I have a brother named Kason and a sister named Kendall. My best friend is Haley S. I have a chocolate lab named Ariel. My favorite color is pink, like every girl, I guess. I am excited about being in the 9th grade next year and making new friends.

PARENTS may pick up cell phones and other electronic devices in Mrs. Thomas' office beginning May 20th.

Awards Ceremony 2013

The 2012-2013 Ellis Awards Ceremony is scheduled for May 16th at 7:00 p.m.  Guests, notified by an invitation, will be served cake and drinks. Trophies will be presented to students who have excelled this school year. We are so proud to be able to recognize these students for their hard work and success!

Ellis' faculty and staff were treated to a delicious lunch Tuesday, May 23rd by our hard-working PTO. The menu included: barbecue pork and chicken, potato salad, baked beans, homemade desserts, and an assortment of beverages. Thank you, PTO!

 

Attention Current 8th Graders!

Talladega High School counselors will be present Thursday, April 18th at 6:00 in the Ellis lunchroom to meet with our students who will be entering the 9th grade in the fall of next year and their parents. THS counselors will explain how these students will register for classes on computers the week of April 22nd-25th for the 2013-2014 school year. A question and answer session will be provided.
